Gassedat

The house is located in the small town of Ruedas de Ocón, La Rioja.

It is a 19th century mansion made in carved stone and wood. In terms of its decoration, it has original paintings of the period, ceramics, fabrics and basketry made by hand, as well as popular rural objects.

The occupation of this farmhouse is 16 people, which may be distributed in 8 double rooms repartidas between the first and second floor. Of these cited bedrooms, only two have a double bed. Of course, all counts are external views and wool blankets handmade in Ezcaray.

In the house we have 5 full bathrooms and a toilet.

Most common areas of the house are located on the ground floor:

• Space for the kitchen and dining room that has a very large table for 16 people, apart from a small television set.
• Two living rooms with fireplace and television. The living room of the ground floor is the one that gives access to the patio paved with garden, which has a small table with chairs and barbecue.
• Small cellar.
• Pantry with freezer chest.
• Zaguán with toilet.
• 2 places to read or relax with TV.

On the last floor of the farmhouse a small attic has been built as loft. It has a sofa bed of 1.60 m, bathroom, comfortable lounge, a small corner with 2 armchairs which is ideal to use as a reading area and a small kitchen that has a small table and chairs.

Without a doubt, a place to enjoy quietly with family and friends. Your pet will also be welcome!

Ocon Wheels is found in the skirts of the Sierra Hez, which was declared Space of the Biosphere in 2003. To discover it, you can take a guided tourist route, whose route coincidentally passes by Casa Gassedat.

But if what interests you most is to know the customs and traditions of La Rioja, it is advisable to go in August to the town of Santa Lucía de Ocón (a 4 km of Ruedas de Ocón) to know "Art on Earth", an international contest that is within the category of "Art in nature and Land Art".
