Iguzkiarreko Borda

The Navarrese Pyrenees is located in the north of the province, housing numerous charming small towns, among which we find Etxalar.

6 km from the latter, in the neighborhood of Lakain, is located rural house, an old farmhouse rehabilitated, but that retains its traditional style, both in appearance and interior, whose decoration maintains a rustic atmosphere.

Etxalar is a village in the north of Navarre, framed by forests, green meadows and mountains. It is situated near the border with France and belongs to the beautiful surroundings of the Navarrese Pyrenees.

The Palomeras are well known in the area. It is a space in which a unique, handcrafted and very unique form of pigeon hunting using nets is practiced in the autumn season. In this place guided visits are made and through it crosses the path of the Palomeras.

Nearby we find the Monte Azkua, the caves Zugarramurdi (5 km) and the Natural Park Señorío de Bertiz (6 km) .

If you prefer to enjoy the beach, just 22 kilometers away is the Hendaye Beach, in France. Other beautiful places are for example Hondarribia and San Sebastián.

Other places of interest nearby are for example the Molinos de Urdazubi / Urdax and the one of Zubieta (12 km), the Collegiate Church of Santa María de Orreaga / Roncesvalles and the Monastery of Urdax.
