La Abuela

This beautiful country house with 2 floors and mountain style is located in the region of El Bierzo, in San Pedro de Olleros, province of León.

It has capacity to host from 6 to 8 people, it is equipped with all the necessary details so that you feel at all times like at home.

Inside, very cozy and tastefully decorated, there is a perfect balance between stone and wood that gives the house that 100% rural feeling you were looking for.

We have a dining room, with 2 well differentiated spaces.

• On the one hand, the area of ​​the room, where you can find the rest you are looking for in this type of accommodation. A beautiful chimney of stone chairs the room and you can enjoy the heat sitting in the armchairs. The stone that covers the walls, makes the room keep the heat. You can also hang out watching the television or enjoying a good movie on the DVD. In addition, and if you like to be connected, we put at your disposal a computer with internet connection.
• On the other hand, there is the dining area, where you can find a table with chairs for 8 diners. You can sit down to eat while you enjoy the fireplace.

The kitchen connects with the dining room thanks to a American bar, stone, which perfectly combines with the walls of the room. In it, you have different appliances. You will be able to use to cook hob and extractor fan or make great roasted in the oven , quickly heat food in the microwave or have always chilly salads in the refrigerator el.

As for the dormitories, we have a total of 3:

• 2 bedrooms with a double bed.
• One bedroom with 2 singles.
• Also, if you travel with small children, we also have a crib.

We also have 2 bathrooms, complete, both with bathtub. We also put at your disposal the shower towels.

In the whole house, to combat the cold Leon, we have heating.

The exterior has a beautiful garden of 500 m2, with hammocks and chairs to relax and sunbathe or for children to play if you come as a family. It also has a great grill-barbecue (you have the firewood at your disposal) sheltered from the sun.

From any point of the house, you can enjoy great views, both to the people, as to the surroundings.

In addition, and as we like that our guests are always comfortable, it depends on the time of year that you come, we offer you products of the area, so that you can taste them.

The village is located on the banks of the River Ancanares, in the region of El Bierzo, an area of ​​Leon of abundant nature and rich cuisine that borders on the west with Galicia.

30 minutes by car you can visit Villafranca del Bierzo, a charming town declared a Historic-Artistic Site in the 60s of the XX century.

If you have time and want to do cultural tourism, you can also visit the capital of this region: the city of Ponferrada (at 35 min), with numerous medieval monuments such as the castle of the Templars, the wall or important churches of style mozárabe.

Finally, and as nature tourism, we recommend you visit Las Médulas. It is a mountainous group, with curious forms that, in ancient times, was a gold deposit, and, with the passage of time and the mines of this mineral, a landscape has been formed in reddish tones.
