Sourroundings of La Casa de Murias
We are in one of León's best known regions: Maragatería.
In addition to going around murias of Rechivaldo, you cannot miss the historic city of Astorga, less than 5 km from the house of Murias. There are great monuments like the cathedral, a tardogotic architectural jewel. Also the Gaudí Palace, ancient residence of the bishop who, after caught fire, built the Catalan artist. The Roman Museum is another recommended places to visit, a national cultural interest construction.
Las Médulas is a close, very peculiar natural place, in which formerly gold mines were and because of this they retain that atypical form.
