La Casa de Portugal

In the province of Zamora, specifically the village of Fornillo de Fermoselle, we have enabled a beautiful complex of rural houses of which La Casa de Portugal is part.

This is a nice 2 story house with a private enclosed garden with furniture such as tables, chairs, sunbeds and a barbecue to enjoy family meals outdoors.

In the interior of the house we have a first floor con the following stays:

• A open kitchen to the living room and that also has a dining table. The kitchen has the appliances needed to cook all your favorite dishes. There is also your entire disposal a crockery y cutlery. It is a simple and small kitchen but with very rustic style thanks to the wooden furniture.

• The living room is open to the kitchen as we have already mentioned and therefore follows the same style. The wood predominates along with the blue and white colors, giving the room a unique light. In the living room we find a chimney that will help us to set the whole house with the temperature you decide.

• The bathroom is very simple, with wooden furniture, it has a sink, toilet and shower. There are also shelves that we have created thanks to the original finish of the wall in which we have introduced some wooden shelves. The towel sets van included with your visit.

The upper floor of the house is the room. It is a nice space that consists of a double bed and 2 single beds. Undoubtedly the best option to sleep the whole family together or all friends. It is a very large plant that also has beautiful wood attic ceilings. The beds are already prepared with sheets and blankets calentitas. The white color predominates both in the walls and in the decoration in general that has some detail in yellow and again in blue.

The house has beautiful views of the village and as we said, on the outside you can also enjoy privately thanks to the plot that accompanies it. You have the facility to park in the same door of the house and dispose of your car whenever you need it.

Just 50 kilometers from Zamora is the village of Fornillos de Fermoselle in which we can enjoy a very common and characteristic architecture that for example we can see reflected in the hanging houses that are at the entrance. We have the main square with its town hall and also the famous Mirador el Torojón which is accessed by climbing a steep street but it is worth it for the beautiful views. We can also visit the hermitage of La Soledad which is located on the outskirts and is very well preserved. His parish receives the name of San Martín de Tours.

The natural park of Arribes del Duero is the clear protagonist of the area. It is a protected area in which the Duero and Águeda rivers form a natural border with neighboring Portugal. It is very well preserved due to the little human presence that there is in this area in the surrounding villages.

Zamora, in addition to its beautiful cathedral, has other sites of interest such as the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Rock of France, that is next to the Douro River and dates from the sixteenth century. It is in very good condition. Zamora is known as the Romanesque city and therefore discovering works that remain today is a real pleasure. This is the case of La Casa del Cid, old house with a lot of history for the city. Finally, it is worth mentioning the walls throughout the city that give great charm to the whole area.
