La Casona de Belmonte

Our rural house is in the small village of Oviñana, belonging to Belmonte de Miranda, in Asturias.

It consists of a big house, of typical Asturian construction. It is a building of 2 floors, spacious and monumental. His stone facades are perfect for the climate of the area, since it isolates the cold thanks to its thick walls. Apart from the wooden windows and doors, it has climbing plants, such as vines with flowers, which give it a lovely country touch.

It is located on a extensive farm, covered all of vegetation as it is common in Asturias.

The house has 4 rooms and, in addition, an apartment. In this way, a maximum of 12 people can be accommodated throughout the house. Each guest can choose the type of accommodation, but all rooms are decorated in detail and from all you can see impressive views, both the estuary and mountains.

Inside, guests can use the common use room. All are decorated following a rustic line, with noble woods and paved. It has been tried to conserve the character of the house, since once it was for farming. The protection of the original materials and the personality of the building is very valuable, because it allows the guest to know the history of the place and soak up the customs.

This room consists of a large space, where the living room with television is located. Also here is a part with tables and chairs from dining room. The kitchen is incorporated in this room, with the appliances and necessary utensils so that our guests can handle themselves like at home.

In addition, we offer internet access and the ability to play movies or any video on the DVD. For recreation, there is also a reading zone and games varied.

The garden is wonderful, since it oozes greenery and nature everywhere. There is a side that consists of an extensive prairie, because we have garden and a small farm with some animal. This makes guests even closer to the surroundings and life in the countryside.

But, in addition, we have an area closer to the house, decorated with garden furniture. They are not any furniture or ornaments, since they are old farm tools restored, such as an old car. We also have some swings for the little ones, although they have room to run and play more than enough!

Outside we keep a hórreo old, also restored, so that visitors to our accommodation can see how it was and what they are typical constructions.

We offer a family deal y close, because our goal is that users are comfortable and comfortable and that they know our way of life. Consequently with this objective, if you wish, you can taste the breakfasts that we serve, made with products from the zone and with great care.

Our location is very good, because on one side we have the Miranda, a very beautiful channel that creates beautiful landscapes. In addition, it is one of the hallmarks of Oviñana, since it gives rise to very fertile land, suitable for the agriculture. This activity is fundamental in the village, like the cattle ranch, since our livelihood and our way of life is the countryside and nature.

Due to the abundance of crops, we have a gastronomy digna mention. We have a multitude of products, all of quality, and elaborations and homemade recipes that constitute a key piece in the village.

The other frame of our house is the Monte Courio and the River Narcea. In addition, we are in a favorable location to visit the most representative areas of Asturias. The beach Gulpiyuri is next too, with beautiful cliffs.

In the town itself, belonging to the council of Belmonte de Miranda, you can visit what is left of the church of Santa Maria de las Nieves, construction of the century XIV.
