La Huerta El Bao

In this old farmhouse , but completely renovated , you will find the ideal place to rest. Located in the province of Ciudad Real, it is less than an hour from the city and is between the towns of La Solana and Villanueva.
Materials such as salt, silicate or hydraulic lime have been used for the restoration , all of this to treat the stone and the original slate, as well as the walls of more than 60 years .

In total the house has 4 rooms . Of these, 2 have double beds and the other 2 double bedrooms have single beds . All rooms have a independent bathroom .
They are decorated with a rustic touch , with aged wood headboards , or using old doors. In some of the bedrooms you can also find false windows made with real wood but with the painted landscape.
In its ceilings it is common to see the original wooden beams , but remember that the house is restored. And in the bedrooms with a double bed there is a part of the wall with exposed stone and the upper part with the original wall painted with bright colors.
The house has a living room-dining room-kitchen, all united in a long open room. We start with the kitchen, decorated with electric blue furniture and equipped with microwave , oven, toaster, dishwasher , blender, and all the utensils necessary. Next to it is the dining area, with a wooden table and a bench, also made of wood, as well as several chairs.
If we continue with the tour, we reach the end area, where the living room is located with the fireplace . Here are 2 comfortable armchairs in beige tones, with a table made with antique wood and iron supports, plus 2 benches with cushions.
In the living room there is also a television with a DVD player , as well as a library with the tourist information of the area so that you do not miss anything. You can also have fun with the games available.
The whole house is well heated and has air conditioning .

In total, more than 3000 m2 of farm , where in addition to the house there is a large garden with an area of ​​ barbecue and free firewood. Grilled ribs? Crispy chorizo? A little bacon ?. If you are savoring all of this, imagine savoring it in this house. And while it's done, a refreshing swim in the pool .

The house also has a exclusive parking area for residents.

We cannot forget the Church of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle which was built on the remains of a ancient Roman temple . It has a single nave and two side chapels. But we won't tell you more, because you have to visit it.
Within the urban area of ​​the town, and next to the parish church, there are still some remains from Roman times , as well as sculptures e inscriptions from the same period and which are in the Plaza de España .

And if museums are your thing, you can visit the Archaeological Museum , the ethnographic museum or some of the different archaeological sites that have become museums.
We put aside the cultural part and focus on gastronomy. What should you try? Well, a good Manchego pisto , a plate of migas or some aubergines from Almagro with pepper paste and a little fennel.
