La Palomica

Cella is a Turolense village located in the skirts of the Sierra de Albarracín. In this town there is a caudalous spring called the cella source, whose waters are conducted by the Roman aqueduct which is located between Cella and the neighboring town of Albarracín. One of the routes that can be done in this area is the path of the Cid, which runs through the peoples and places through which this illustrious character passed during the reconquest.

Very close is the Sierra de Albarracín, a mountain range of calcareous rock in which a multitude of fossil impressions can be found. The Sierra extends by several Spanish provinces, but in the part that Teruel is going through is the birth of the Tagus.

In this area is the town of Peracense, which does not exceed 90 inhabitants and that has one of the Castillos most beautiful in Aragon, considered that way because it adapts to natural conditions. Being built in red brick on a red sandstone mountain, its walls mimic with the rock and was difficult to see for attacker troops.
