La Piedra del Molino

On the outskirts of Galve de Sorbe, in the province of Guadalajara, is this unique flour mill dating from the late s. XVIII, next to the River Sorbe.

Originally, it was bought by some inhabitants of the town and later sold to turn it into a fish farm. In 2006 we decided to rehabilitate this place and turn it into a beautiful country house dedicated to rural tourism. We have respected some of its architectural elements.

The solar power supplies the light housing and a carbon filter responsible for purifying the water. The maintenance of the house is based on organic products and easy decomposition.

The decoration of its interior is spectacular, it is not left indefensible. The taste of the owners to discover the different countries is reflected in each of its corners. Its two floors house 7 double bedrooms with rooms bathroom in its interior. All of them with furniture and elements brought from different places that bring us closer to the Indian, African, Colombian, Moroccan culture ... Even in one of them objects from different parts of the world are combined making it a space of the most cosmopolitan.

The kitchen is fire and is built in stone and wood. It has all the necessary equipment and is separated from the dining room by a bar. A space used by several wooden tables and stools to sit down to eat comfortably.

The desktop is the most pleasant in the living room: benches decorated with bright cloth cushions from India and Morocco, and printed puffs that invite you to have tea in front of the fireplace .

Outside you can enjoy the terrace, the garden and the silence and pure air that breathes in this house in the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara. In addition, for more entertainment and enjoyment of its occupants, it has its own organic garden and a small chicken coop.

A place in the middle of nature, in the vicinity of Galve de Sorve, which respects the environment and purifies the body and mind. There are no factories around it, so visitors will enjoy clean air within a 40-kilometer radius.

In full Sierra Norte of Guadalajara, surrounded by pine forests and bathed by the River Sorbe. An area where during the autumn season it is possible to participate in the mushroom collection or admire the changing shades of the trees in the Parque del Hayedo. In the summer months there are bathing areas in the form of pools in the vicinity of The Millstone.

For the recreation and enjoyment of the guests, the house has its own organic farming garden plus a small chicken coop.
