La Xaconera d' Ardenya

This impressive country house is located at La Riera de Gaia, a municipality of just over 1,500 inhabitants located in the province of Tarragona.

The municipality is surrounded by nature, but it is close to the city, you will reach Tarragona en just 15 minutes. If you come from Barcelona, the journey lasts approximately one hour.

The interior of the house has capacity to accommodate up to 21 people (one of them in additional bed). Inside you will find:

6 rooms: 5 of the rooms are composed by a double bed and a sofa-bed for 2 people; while the sixth houses inside a double bed, a sofa bed, and a bunk. The rooms are inspired by the old stables that made up the site, proof of this are, for example, the windows, which are surrounded by beautiful stone drawings. In the rooms you will find cabinets and comfortable to leave your luggage. In addition, they have television, air conditioning and heating.

6 bathrooms: each of the rooms has its own bathroom. Some of them have shower with whirlpool column, while others have a XX, perfect for relaxing after a long day. In the bathrooms there is no lack of towels or courtesy items.

Living room: in a building separated from the rooms is the dining room. A large space with capacity for 40 people charged with luminosity thanks to the large windows that surround it. Inside you will find a fireplace

• A organic garden, where several plants of various species and fruit trees are grown.

• Una farm, with ducks, chickens, turkeys ... and several more animals raised in freedom.

• A barbecue area, to enjoy eating outdoors.

• A pool, with sun loungers for summer.

This accommodation is perfect for all those who want to get in touch with the environment in a responsible way.

If you come as a family, you can teach your children to relate to the environment, feeding the chickens, picking fruits from the trees, or watering the orchards.

• La Parochial Church, with a baroque style, was built in the 18th century in honor of Santa Margarita.

• The Castle of Castellot, also called as the castle of Santa Margarita, is a fortress that already appears in the books of the XII century.

• The ruins of the Torre de la Vella, a medieval tower that in past times served as a defensive building of the town.
