Hi.
We are Javier and Trinidad. When we decided to buy the house in the town where Javier's father was born, we already knew that this project had to be shared with people who wanted to enjoy a unique environment and a quieter kind of life, even for a few days. That's why we opened some rural apartments.
The house is located in the Tajo International Natural Park, a few kilometers from the Portuguese border, and in a hamlet of Alcántara called Estorninos where less than 20 people live.
The natural environment that surrounds us, allows us to enjoy starry skies, unchanged landscapes, the sound of birdsong, the slow movement of the life of the animals that live here, deer, black storks, black vultures.
If you like to know the vestiges of the civilizations that inhabited here you can see from prehistoric menhirs, Roman bridges, monastic convents, and electric dams that dominate the course of the Tagus River.
The gastronomy of the area, such as the partridge in the manner of antántara, the sweets as the mormenteras, are also reasons to visit the area.
Although without a doubt the most important thing is to enjoy yourself and yours.

Nearby are towns such as Alcántara, where you can visit the Convent of San Benido, which was the residence of the order of Alcántara, as well as the Roman bridge dating from the 2nd century BC.
There is also Zarza la Mayor, with its magnificent Peñafiel Castle and which is the second entrance to neighboring Portugal, and to such wonderful towns as Penha García. The apartments have all the comforts of a modern house, but inside a house with more than 150 years.
