Mas del Colomé

This rural house, which is in the province of Teruel, and more specifically in the town of Fornoles, is an old farmhouse that retains its original charm under a stone construction that can still be seen throughout its estancias.

It was raised in the XVIII and XIX centuries, but was submitted to a strict reformation about 6 years ago. After it originated this hotel with 4 double rooms, plus a series of common areas.

One of them we could say that it is multifunctional and it is the room. This space has been divided as in 2 main rooms giving rise to a small dining room where the breakfast (included in the price) is served, which is also prepared by the owners themselves. Made with natural products and fresh from the area, they charge their guests with the necessary energy to get to know the whole area of ​​Matarraña.

The dinners, which are under order, are also served here, since there is no bar-restaurant in the house at all. The only thing they ask you to do is to notify them in the morning, at breakfast time, so that they can start working with time, in addition, you must warn if you are allergic or intolerant to any food. The dinner will consist of 3 courses.

Next to the dining room is the room itself, where we find a black grand piano -and that can be taken by the guests- next to the stone chimney. In addition, there are two comfortable white sofas next to a library, which will make this place the perfect space to spend a pleasant time reading. In summer, the breeze comes in through the window, while in winter you will warm up by the fire in the fireplace.

Another common space for the tenants of this house is the terrace. From there you can see an incredible landscape and you will be surrounded by towering mountains. It will transmit much peace and much rest .

In Matarraña you will find a place where the Mediterranean climate can be felt in every corner, which helps the growth of olive, almond and rosemary trees.

If you get to know the town Fórnoles you will see its religious style architecture and that predominate in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Monserrate, which the people of the town go up during the pilgrimage that takes place on the second Sunday of May.

It stands out here, and it reminds him with a street and a sculpture, the doctor Andrés Piquer and the writer Braulio Foz, who wrote a very important work of Aragonese literature: "The life of Pedro Saputo".
