What to eat
The area in which this region is located makes it a perfect place to access different types of food that, together, conform the basis of its gastronomy.
Some of the pillars in the kitchens of this region call for the famous o herbs of Provence, or its olives, with which French olive oil and the famous tapenade are made.
Other typical products are the bread in its different versions, and in this case, socca and fougasse that usually accompany the well-known Mediterranean aioli. A perfect snack for lunchtime that will give way to more consistent dishes.
Some of them are the ratatouille, made exclusively with vegetables, and a typical Marseille fish stew called bouillabaisse, and its unmissable companion, rouille sauce. All this washed down with a good wine and topped with its aniseed liqueur will make you have one of the best gastronomic experiences you can imagine.
