Tragaluz I

Traditional holiday accommodation located inside the small Huelva village of Fuenteheridos.

Its white façade and the 2 barred windows on both sides of the entrance are characteristic.

A dark wooden gate with the traditional peephole and a brick covering on the edges welcome us inside the house.

Its name comes from the window or skylight located on the ceiling of the kitchen that illuminates the entire room. It maintains a rustic and wild style but visitors will find in it the necessary appliances and kitchenware to let their culinary creativity fly.

It communicates through a door with the living room, a space for rest and relaxation whose main protagonist is the fireplace. If the weather outside is not favorable, both the kitchen and the living room are equipped with dining tables.

There are 2 bedrooms that the house has. Comfortable and cozy rooms equipped with heating and with capacity for 3 people each of them, as both incorporate a double bed and a single bed.

Meetings and celebrations taste better in the winery, a space equipped with furniture that you can find when you go out to the patio. One of the most emblematic places that, despite having been renovated, still retains the essence of its beginnings. stone and marble floor that houses a terrace and an independent barbecue area. In addition, its size allows it to also be used as a garage.

Enjoying the Sierra de Aracena is possible in Fuenteheridos and surrounding areas. There are not even a thousand inhabitants of this quiet little town, but that does not prevent it from being possible to enjoy the traditional chestnut roast in autumn. A ritual that is repeated every year after locals and visitors go out to the countryside to fill their baskets with this fruit. Once collected, at home they are toasted in a pan until the peel comes off on its own when eaten.

In addition to chestnuts, the humid areas of the mountains are full of mushrooms. A delicacy to taste at home if you are a fan or that will also be offered by different establishments in the area.

The cobblestone streets of Fuenteheridos reflect the importance that water once had for the life of the town. A walk through the center will be enough to contemplate the  Fountain of the Doce Caños, one of the most representative of the town.
